About The Long Game
Welcome to The Long Game—a newsletter for runners, coaches, and competitors who believe that performance is more than just pace and podiums.
I'm Andrew Simmons, a USATF Level II and TrainingPeaks Level 2 certified coach, and the founder of Lifelong Endurance, Peak Performance Running, and Co-Owner of Golden Sports Performance. Over the past decade, I've guided athletes ranging from first-time marathoners to Olympic Trials qualifiers, and mentored hundreds of youth runners who've gone on to compete in the NCAA, and 5+ athletes representing Team USA.
My coaching philosophy blends science-backed training with individualized support, focusing on building both physical performance and mental resilience. Whether you're a high school athlete aiming for a scholarship, an adult runner chasing a personal best, or a coach seeking deeper insights, this space is for you.
